Telchemy Ships Over Ten Million Units of VQmon VoIP/ IPTV Analysis Technology
Installed base of VQmon grows by over 400 percent
DULUTH, GA. - May 14, 2007 - Telchemy,® Incorporated, the global leader in Voice over IP and IPTV fault and performance management technology, today announced that the installed base of VQmon had increased from two million units in December 2005 to over ten million units in the first quarter of 2007. Over eighty equipment vendors have integrated Telchemy's technology into a broad range of IP phones, residential gateways, E-MTA's, routers, probes, analyzers and performance management systems.
VQmon embedded performance monitoring agent technology provides real time analysis of live Voice or Video over IP calls, is scaleable, compact and efficient. VQmon's small footprint permits integration into a wide range of systems, including client devices such as IP phones, IP set top boxes and mobile handsets, CPE such as residential gateways, ONU/ONT's, integrated access devices and edge routers to high capacity network infrastructure equipment such as probes, routers or session/border controllers.
Telchemy's product range includes active and passive performance monitoring technology, embedded agents and OEM performance management applications for VoIP, IPTV and IP Videoconferencing/ HD Telepresence. Telchemy's technology produces accurate QoE metrics (MOS scores and R factors) for Voice and Video, provides a broad range of diagnostic data and supports performance reporting protocols such as RTCP XR (RFC3611), SIP RTCP Summary Reports, H.460.9, H.248.30 and PacketCable 1.5.
