Telchemy's VQmon/SA Wins Communications Solutions 2002 Product of the Year Award
ATLANTA, GA (April 24, 2003) - Telchemy®, Inc., an industry leader in Voice and Video over IP (V2oIP) real-time Service "Quality-of-Experience" (QoE) monitoring, analysis and expert diagnostics, announced today that its VQmon/SA embedded voice call-quality monitoring software has been selected by Communications Solutions magazine as a 2002 Product of the Year.
Telchemy's powerful VQmon® family of real-time embedded Voice over IP management products, utilizing patent-pending technology, are unique in the industry and provide critical real-time and historical statistics that help Service Provider and Enterprise network managers to understand how their VoIP services are performing and quickly detect and isolate problems.
"We are very pleased that VQmon has been selected by Communications Solutions as Product of the Year", said Dr. Alan Clark, CEO and founder of Telchemy. "We saw significant shortcomings in the way that traditional management devices approach VoIP quality and performance management. VQmon/SA addresses those issues in a powerful way that includes our innovative jitter buffer emulation technology. Receiving this level of product recognition again helps substantiate the real value of our technology in managing VoIP services", added Dr. Clark.
According to Communications Solutions, "It removes a critical blind spot as traditional management devices suffer from not having visibility into application-critical jitter buffer operations. VQmon/SA thus allows them to accurately deliver service assurance, problem diagnosis, and management solutions to major enterprises and service providers. The new jitter measurement and jitter buffer diagnostics capability in VQmon/SA allows network managers to quickly diagnose jitter-related problems and to optimize critical jitter buffer settings in IP phones and gateways."
"Telchemy's VQmon/SA is a clear leader in VoIP call quality and Quality of Experience management tools. We're proud to reward their hard work and innovation with a Product of the Year Award for 2002," said Rich Tehrani, president of TMC and group editor-in-chief of Communications Solutions®. "VQmon/SA's jitter buffer emulation technology represents a major step forward for management systems which have traditionally not been able to capture the critical activity taking place behind an end-node's network interface, which is essential for applications like Voice and Video over IP," he added.
