Deployment Prerequisites

Prerequisites for deploying DVQattest Agents through Jamf Pro include creating an Apple push certificate and enrolling devices to connect with the Jamf Pro server.

Push Certificates

A push certificate is an encrypted file generated by Apple that establishes trust between a third-party service and Apple Push Notification service (APNs). To enable Jamf Pro to send push notifications to your managed macOS or iOS devices using APNs, you will need to generate a push certificate and upload it to Jamf Pro.

Device Enrollment

Enrollment is required to establish a connection between each managed device and the Jamf Pro server. Jamf supports both automated and manual (user-initiated) device enrollment methods.
